The Rapture is coming, the rapture is coming! Quivering in abject fear, we decided to try our hand at another podcast and were joined by the lovely Seismic Stan and his dulcet tones.
After much pestering and annoyance, Petter finally managed to talk Stan into appearing on the show; something we understand that he did simply to put an end to the constant messages coming from Petter. We were all very happy.
The Rapture is upon us, so we did our best to enjoy this episode as much as possible. Here’s what we talked about:
For the fifth episode in a row, we talk about Sony, as their Password Reset Page turns out to have a fatal flaw that allows people to change your password if they just know your e-mail address and birth date. Hardly the most difficult pieces of information to obtain about a person. This may be why Japan didn’t allow PSN to turn on their servers in the country, claiming that there was still the possibility that the servers aren’t secure yet.
Also, Petter thought it was hilarious to read a list of small bug fixes in EVE; going so far as to say that it’s a list that should be the basis for all patch notes in the future.
We also talked about how Cryptic Studios is now a “discontinued operation”, though support for existing games, and development of Neverwinter will continue. Everything continuing as normal, for now, but we can’t be sure how long that’ll last.
Also, here are a couple of random links brought up during the show:
