Coffee With Jeff #80: Mary Anning – Fossil Hunter

29 mins - Published Sun, Mar 20, 2016 by Jeff Kelley

She spent her whole life hunting fossils and her work changed scientific thinking about prehistoric life and the history of the Earth. Annie found some of the greatest fossils ever discovered but she was not noticed because she was self-educated, working class, and more importantly, a girl. Today’s show is about Mary Anning, a young lady who spent more over her life risking her life shipping away stone in the cold on the side of a cliff with the waves of English Channel sneaking up behind her.
