It 1969, an erotic novel was released called Naked Came the Stranger by “Penelope Ashe”. It was the story of the sexual liaisons of a suburban Long Island housewife, Gillian Blake. She is the host of a radio show with her husband, whom she suspected of having an affair. To get revenge, she attempts to destroy their marriage by having as many affairs with other men as possible. The thing is, there was no such person as “Penelope Ashe”, the book was written by 25 writers at Newsweek.
