Half-Pints, Whole-Notes #23: Enter the Christmas!

1 hour 2 mins - Published Sun, Dec 20, 2015 by Josh Wodarz and Rebecca Ruiz

It’s almost Christmas time so Becca Ruiz and Josh Wodarz decide to run over some of their favorite Christmas tunes. We cover it all, well, ok, not really. But there is a bit of ground, from the Darlene Love classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” to Becca’s love of classic Christmas songs like “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.” They also go over the history of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Josh laments that the Keith Richards whacked-out cover of Chuck Berry’s “Run Rudolph Run” with Toots & the Maytalls isn’t on Spotify, but hey, we found a link for you!

Don’t forget to go to csicon.fm/hw23 to get access to our Spotify playlist to have yourself a Merry Christmas and all that. Oh, plus El Vez and his Public Image Limited inspired version of Feliz Navidad.

Half-Pints, Whole-Notes

Every two weeks, Becca and Josh get together in a seedy basement bar to sample and review a beer. At the same time, they'll discuss the newest music releases of the past two weeks. From lagers to pale ales to imperial stouts, and folk to hip hop to Norwegian death metal, they'll cover it all.
