Pint Notes #55: Canon No 3: We The Common and Sierra Nevada

55 mins - Published Fri, May 19, 2017 by Josh Wodarz and Rebecca Ruiz

It’s time for Rebecca Ruiz and Josh Wodarz to dive deep into the tastes that created their musical and beerical palette. Yes, it’s another canon show. They take a close look at the 2013 album We the Common by Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, and talk about it’s funky groove, and simple, but effective poetry.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a long standing classic American Pale Ale, one that even set the scene for craft brews to come later. The beer is also simple, but effective, and brings a smile to the cohosts.

Pint Notes

Every two weeks, Becca and Josh get together in a seedy basement bar to sample and review a beer. At the same time, they'll discuss the newest music releases of the past two weeks. From lagers to pale ales to imperial stouts, and folk to hip hop to Norwegian death metal, they'll cover it all.
