Pint Notes #7: Sriracha Stout

53 mins - Published Fri, Apr 3, 2015 by Josh Wodarz and Rebecca Ruiz

It’s 2015 and the Blues are back! The Blues are Number One! On Half-Pints, Whole-Notes, we discuss the latest from the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, podcast fave I’m From Barcelona, Mini Mansions, and Courtney Barnett. We loved it all.

We even like Rogue Brewery’s Sriracha Hot Stout, made with Huy Fong’s Sriracha and packaged in an imitation of their bottle. We cooled ourselves down with some Negra Modello.

Then we got a little bit feisty with some quick takes on Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab for Cutie, The Lower Dens, The Sonics, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, and Eliane Ellias.

We had fun. We hope you do too.

Pint Notes

Every two weeks, Becca and Josh get together in a seedy basement bar to sample and review a beer. At the same time, they'll discuss the newest music releases of the past two weeks. From lagers to pale ales to imperial stouts, and folk to hip hop to Norwegian death metal, they'll cover it all.
