Instanews #58: 2012-09-14

57 mins - Published Fri, Sep 14, 2012 by Breki Tomasson and Jack Marshall

A day late due to scheduling issues between Jack and myself, but here’s Geek Positive for Friday, September 14th!

This episode has been plagued by problem after problem. As if it wasn’t enough to delay us a day due to scheduling, we also had a huge problem with recording that forced us to go back and rerecord the entire show once we were more than half way through! Sheesh! Hope we don’t ever have to do that again.

Today, we talked about who died in Avengers vs. X-Men, The Death and Return of Superman by Max Landis, reaching outside of your comfort zone, the Apple iPhone 5 and Kevin Bacon and his very special number!

Remember to rate us on iTunes and tell ALL your friends how amazing we are. Find us on Facebook or find us on Twitter where we’re @Geek_Positive. Jack and I can be found on Twitter as @Tofu_Jack and @BrekiT. If you want to sponsor the show with a message, promotion or silly phrase, just visit for more details.

Instanews was another one of Breki's attempts to create a tech news podcast in the long chain of iterative podcasts that includes Geek Positive, CSICON Radio, The Brainstorm and Geekdays. It ran for 129 episodes, initially co-hosted by Jack Marshall and, in the final run of episodes, by Teppo Tastic.

Both Petter Mårtensson and Arkenor Oakshadow featured as regular guests for a segment known as The Deathmatch of Death and More Death, a ladder-style competition that pit heroes and villains from popular culture against each other. Petter and Arkenor would argue the case for their randomly picked hero of the week, and listeners would vote via the website.
