Instanews #8: 2012-03-03

Despite a terribly slow couple of days in Geek News, Jack and I sit down for another episode of Geek Positive!

In today’s episode, we welcome Tim and Jon to the CSICON Network, as they’ve just released their latest episode of How To Murder Time right here with us. We also talk – albeit secretively – about a top secret podcasting plan that I have in mind. More on the tale of the television, Breki’s love for Lost, other television shows, the possibility of Valve working on a console and screenshots from upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3.

The musical feature of this episode is Ballad of the Goddess, as played by identical twins Camille and Kennerly. Make sure to check out their Youtube page for a whole lot more great lute-playing that I’m sure will tickle your nerd bone.

Also, Xbox players should be sure to check out the new geek-themed clothes (and add BrekiQliphoth to your friend list!)

Find all the links to all the things we’ve talked about on and post links to anything you would want us to talk about!

Find us at @BrekiT and @Tofu_Jack; we’ll be back in a couple of days!

Instanews was another one of Breki's attempts to create a tech news podcast in the long chain of iterative podcasts that includes Geek Positive, CSICON Radio, The Brainstorm and Geekdays. It ran for 129 episodes, initially co-hosted by Jack Marshall and, in the final run of episodes, by Teppo Tastic.

Both Petter Mårtensson and Arkenor Oakshadow featured as regular guests for a segment known as The Deathmatch of Death and More Death, a ladder-style competition that pit heroes and villains from popular culture against each other. Petter and Arkenor would argue the case for their randomly picked hero of the week, and listeners would vote via the website.
