Movieing On #245: The Man Who Would be King

The Man Who Would Be King (1888) is a short story by Rudyard Kipling. It is about two British adventurers in British India who become kings of Kafiristan, a remote part of Afghanistan. It’s also a movie starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. We decided to watch the movie even though reading the short story would have been quicker. We’re strange in that way.

Movieing On

Movieing On was a project that we've wanted to do for a long time, and the pieces all fell together in March of 2012, when we began planning the first episode. Featuring some of the CSICON crew's most amazing people, we watch a movie from 1999 or earlier and discuss it.

If you want to get in touch with the people behind the episode or talk to others who like it, feel free to join the CSICONauts chat room. Alternatively, you can find some of this episode's hosts and/or guests on Twitter: Breki Tomasson, Linnea Kleiner, Nancy Frye and Toerag.
