Retrograde #7: Super Mario World

- Published Wed, Aug 22, 2012 by Adam Bromage-Hughes, Anthony Hobday, Jack Marshall and Lysanne Fisher

This is episode seven of Retrograde! This week we give a relatively unheard of game called Super Mario World a good hard playing. Oh, we play it hard. Too hard.

Due to a poorly James McFadyen, episode seven of Retrograde this week sees myself, Lysanne Fisher, Anthony Hobday, and new-kid-on-the-block Adam Bromage-Hughes take Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo to town. We decided to get it drunk and shave off its moustache.

So grab a plunger, unclog that nasty drain, and flush away with the Retrograde team into the world of Super Mario… erm… World.

Retrograde is a fortnightly retro gaming show launched on the CSICON network in May 2012. Each episode focuses on one game from yesteryear chosen by one of our Retrograde team, who put the game under scrutiny as well as talk about the history and legacy of the game and its overall impact on the gaming world. Join your hosts as they suit up and brave the world of sprites and chip tunes.

If you want to get in touch with the people behind the episode or talk to others who like it, feel free to join the CSICONauts chat room. Alternatively, you can find some of this episode's hosts and/or guests on Twitter: Adam Bromage-Hughes, Anthony Hobday, Jack Marshall and Lysanne Fisher. The show also has its own Twitter account at @retrogradeshow.
